Portsmouth Sustainability Fair, Saturday May 9, 10am – 4pm at the Portsmouth Middle School. The fair will include sustainable business vendors, educational exhibits, food, and music. The big orange Fresh Local Truck will be there serving up yummy local fare. There is no admission fee but people are encouraged to bring items for re-use or recycling like used cell phones, eyeglasses, electronics, used books and clothing. For more information visit www.portsmouthsustainabilityfair.org. If you’re thinking of hitting the Portsmouth Farmers’ Market that day too, it’s just a short walk up the hill from the fair. Local food advocates will be leading tours of the market, leaving from the fair every half hour.
2nd Annual Dover Arts Festival, Saturday May 9, 10am – 3pm at One Washington Center in downtown Dover, featuring NH artists and craftspeople, live performances, and a farmers’ market with local growers and producers of specialty foods including local cheeses, sausages, pastas, breads and more!
