…just like the ones I used want to know!”
As the holiday season approaches I encourage everyone to consider how you can reduce your impact (and save a little money) in this time of consumption. A few weeks ago I had decided to make a personal statement this year by wrapping all of my presents in newspaper (with the TNH in fact). As fate would have it, I was flipping through the TNH this morning and found an article advocating the same exact thing! It stated that if every American wrapped just three presents in newspaper, enough wrapping paper would be saved to cover 45,000 football fields. YIKES!
And yes, you can employ a little creativity to make newspaper-wrapped presents look nice. Check this out!

You stay sustainable, UNH!

As an alumni who has gone on to two other schools since my time at UNH, I am constantly impressed with all sustainability efforts– including this blog! Thought you may appreciate this holiday song that coincides perfectly with the subject of this post, even if it IS a bit late.

Happy New Year, and keep making UNH the kind of place I’m proud to call my alma mater!

Thanks! The video was quite entertaining, albeit a few days late. Glad to see alumni following this blog!
I’m pleased to share that my family was widely receptive to presents wrapped in black and white lettering, and I fully anticipate that they too will adopt said practice.
